Jacob “Kobi” Margolin, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Clinigence. Mr. Margolin is a successful "serial entrepreneur" with over 15 years experience in HIT. In the mid-1990’s, Mr. Margolin co-founded a pioneering Medical Imaging technology company and led its marketing, global business development and North American operations through a $50M acquisition by Kodak (2004). In 2005, he joined Accelarad – a Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) incubator company. Mr. Margolin refocused the business on SaaS-based recurring revenue model leading to 4X growth. In 2008, he started a consulting firm helping Israeli medical technologies enter the US market. Mr. Margolin holds an MS degree in medical physics (magna cum laude) and BS degrees in Mathematics and Physics (magna cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University in Israel. He is a board member of the American-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and HIMSS.

Charles “Chuck” Kandzierski, Chief Operating/Information Officer (COO/CIO), Mr. Kandzierski has over 15 years experience in HIT commercial software development with over 10 years pioneering the delivery of software “in the cloud.” In the 1990s, as VP of North American Development, Mr. Kandzierski led product development for Sales Technologies, which started in the Georgia Tech incubator, was acquired by Dun and Bradstreet, and rebranded as IMS Health - the market-leading pharmaceutical sales and marketing solution. In 2000, Mr. Kandzierski joined Employease and led the development of the SaaS Empoyease Network - the widely recognized leader in hosted HR and benefits - which won several industry awards prior to being purchased by ADP in 2006. Also in 2006, Mr. Kandzierski joined Accelarad, another Georgia Tech incubator company where as CTO he successfully led the product and data center transition to SaaS. Mr. Kandzierski received his BS degree in Computer Science (summa cum laude) from the University of Georgia.  He is an active member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the Georgia HITT Advisory Board.

Christopher Fogg, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Mr. Fogg has more than 15 years experience in building highly scalable, reliable and user-friendly web applications. Prior to joining Clinigence, Mr. Fogg served as Senior Director of Application Development for ADP, where he was responsible for their HR and Benefits software as a service (SaaS) offering, used by over 7000 clients and 2 million users. Mr. Fogg joined ADP through its acquisition of Employease, a pioneering SaaS technology where he played an instrumental role in designing, developing and scaling the technology up to its acquisition by ADP in 2006. Mr. Fogg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College.


Mark Copenhaver, Chief Software Architect, Mr. Copenhaver began designing EHR software in 1994 with EncounterPRO – a pioneering workflow-driven EHR application. Mr. Copenhaver was the founder of JMJ Technologies (later EncounterPRO Healthcare Resources), the parent company of EncounterPRO, where he served 15 years as Chief Technology Officer. He has consistently been at the forefront of EHR development with concepts like modularity, open APIs, interoperability, clinical data modeling and CCHIT certification. Prior to EncounterPRO, Mr. Copenhaver worked as a database design consultant for major companies including BellSouth, Dun & Bradstreet, Lockheed, Eli Lilly, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKlein, Abbott, Merck, Sandoz, and the SEMA Group. Mr. Copenhaver graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in computer science, electrical engineering and mathematics.

Dr. Mark Braunstein leads the Clinigence Clinical Advisory Board. He teaches health informatics at Georgia Tech and is involved in research aimed at wider and deeper adoption of HIT to improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery. Dr. Braunstein was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Patient Care Technologies, Inc. ("PtCT"), an ATDC Graduate company, a 1998 Inc 500 company, and a leading provider of electronic patient record and care management systems to the home care industry. PtCT was acquired by MEDITECH in 2007. Dr. Braunstein received his BS degree from MIT in 1969 and his MD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 1974. After an internship at Washington University he joined the faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy at MUSC until he left in 1978 to co-found PROHECA, an early developer of clinical pharmacy systems. PROHECA was acquired by National Data Corporation (NDC) in 1981 and was the seed for NDCHealth. At NDC, Dr. Braunstein ran what was then the NDC Healthcare Division for five years and was the company's President and COO for three years until he left in 1990 to co-found PtCT. He is the author of over fifty papers, articles and book chapters devoted to various aspects of clinical automation. Dr. Braunstein is Senior Adviser for health information technology to Focus, LLC, an investment banking firm that provides a range of services tailored to the needs of emerging growth and middle market businesses from offices across the country. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of the Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures (GATV) - a corporation that supports Georgia Tech’s ATDC incubator. He is also a past Chairman of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region and of the Atlanta Chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum. He won a 1996 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Southeast Region, received a 1995 Innovation in Medical Management Award from the American Society of Physician Executives and received the 2006 Founder's Award from the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region.
